Ranks
Survival ranks are earned by playing. Every rank unlocks more homes, vaults, hoppers, shop sections and perks. Supporter ranks from the store are separate and stack on top (see Supporting Bucketry).

How ranking up works
Section titled “How ranking up works”/rankupranks you up when you meet the requirements, or tells you exactly what is missing./ranksshows every rank, its requirements and its perks./climb(or/bucketlord) shows your progress toward the next rank on one screen.
Requirements come in four kinds:

- Money: the cost is taken from your balance when you rank up.
- Totals: total Charter (job) levels, total Seamark levels, unique quests completed and XP levels. You only need to reach them.
- Story questlines: three ranks are gated by a questline and its boss instead of money.
- XP levels: from Abysswalker up, the XP levels are spent when you rank up.
