Bosses
Bucketry’s big bosses are Echoes: old-season monsters the tide keeps bringing back, each with its own home, story and loot. Each fight happens in its own arena, reached through a gate you can find in the world.

Health goes up with each extra fighter, so bringing friends does not make a fight trivial. It does make it safer.

/bosszone is a quick teleport menu for Bones, the Wreckroot and Rimeback once you have unlocked them.
Rough order
Section titled “Rough order”- Starfall and Stormbreak first. They are group events, forgiving, and pay everyone who joins in.
- The Hollow Captain once you have decent armor. One life per night, but a crowd carries you.
- The Root Delve at Diver rank. Start on Low Tide and work up.
- Rimeback last. It is the hardest regular fight: bring your best plate.
Common rules
Section titled “Common rules”- Shared credit. Every boss pays everyone who did real damage, not just the last hit. Each page lists the minimum damage.
- Full hoard and echo loot. The Wreckroot and Rimeback pay a big full hoard once every 20 hours per player. Kill it again sooner and you get smaller echo loot.
- Fight up close. Most bosses shrug off long shots, and explosive arrows only do part of their damage. Bosses also resist being knocked around by explosions.
- Keep inventory in the Root Delve, on Rimeback’s floe and in Hollowfield. No grave is made there.
- First kill bonus. Your first kill of the Wreckroot, Rimeback or the Hollow Captain pays a Legendary enchant from EnchantForge.
- Prep brews. Some bosses have a brew that softens their signature trick: Hearthbrew against Rimeback’s cold, Rootsap Tonic against the Wreckroot’s vines. Ask the folk near each boss.
- Trinkets. Each big boss has a signature trinket with a small drop chance and a pity counter, so a run of bad luck always ends.
| Boss | Trinket | Chance | Guaranteed by miss |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Wreckroot | 8% | 10th | |
| Rimeback | 8% | 10th | |
| The Hollow Captain | 10% | 8th | |
| Eyepatch Bones | 6% | 12th | |
| Starfall guardians | 6% | 12th |
Boss trials and the Hall of Firsts
Section titled “Boss trials and the Hall of Firsts”The Wreckroot and Rimeback each have four trials: harder ways to win (solo, nobody dies, and a boss-specific skill). Each pays a title. Open /bosstrials to see which you have done.
The first player to do something big, like sinking Rimeback, goes into the Hall of Firsts on the leaderboards for good.
The Gobbler
Section titled “The Gobbler”In Fall, a giant turkey sometimes turns up out in the wild, well away from claims and spawn points. It only appears with 2 or more players online, and at most once a week. Kill it for $10,000 to $25,000, 1,000 XP and a 20% chance at a
Turkey HatTurkey Hat.
