Economy basics
Bucketry runs on two separate currencies. They never convert into each other, so it helps to know which one a reward or price is in.

You start the season with nothing in either. Both are yours to trade: paying another player is how most private deals on the harbor are settled.
Where money comes from
Section titled “Where money comes from”Money is the engine of the season. Your early ranks cost only money (from $5,000 for Wader up to $150,000 for Minnow), and every rank after that asks for more money alongside levels and quests.
The main sources, roughly from steadiest to burstiest:
- Charters: pay for every block mined, crop harvested, fish caught or mob killed in your three trades.
- Work Orders: three daily Charter tasks that each pay a flat sum.
- Quests: daily and weekly ladders, one-time story questlines and monthly Impossible capstones.
- Selling: to the Shop, to other players on the Auction House, to the House Crew, or from your own market stall.
- Side trades: fishing, Fathom gems, Harvest orders and Harbor Contracts.
- Events and bosses: tournaments, raids, Starfall and boss kills all pay out.
Where coins come from
Section titled “Where coins come from”Coins arrive in smaller amounts from things you do once or occasionally: quest rewards (most quests list coins next to their cash), Impossible quests (500 each), Captain’s Orders, Job Mastery at level 500 and events. Spend them in /coinshop.
Good habits
Section titled “Good habits”- Read the reward line. Quest cards and menus always show whether a reward is $ or ⛃.
- Do not pay strangers up front. Use the Auction House or a stall when you trade with someone you do not know. The Auction House holds items and money safely until the sale goes through.
- Bank sales are not automatic. Money from Auction House sales waits in
/ah proceedsuntil you collect it. - Watch for boosts. Weekends and the daily Charter boost days raise XP, and a finished Harbor Contract boosts every Charter’s pay for two days.
