The world

Bucketry is split into a few worlds. Pailhaven, the towns, the guild halls and the boss gates all sit in the Frontier, a hand-built wild land around the bay. Your own base goes in the Claiming World, and you gather in the resource worlds (see /rtp).

Mirehollow, the jungle town on red boardwalks over the water

The Frontier is a protected world: no building and no claims. It is where the server’s places live. Walk it, ride it, or warp around it.

Frostmere, the snowy harbor town, seen from above

  • Pailhaven is the capital and /spawn. Everything starts here.
  • The Ferry Landing (/warp frontier) is where the trail to every Frontier guild hall begins.
  • Guild halls in the wilds: the Waystation (Explorers), the Wilds Lodge (Hunters) and the Paddock (Beastmasters), the Timber Yard (Lumberjacks, Artisans), the Quarry (Miners) and the Sand Pits (Excavators).
  • The Wreck Lagoon on the jungle coast, where the Marrowgale lies beached and the Root Delve begins.
  • Frostmere, the whaling station on the pack ice, and the frozen Kestrel where Rimeback waits.
  • Stormbreak Cove, Eyepatch Bones’ smugglers’ fort, home of the Stormbreak raid.
  • The Lamplit Road and its inn, discoveries and Lantern Men camp. See Wayfaring Roads.

A stilt village in the fen beside the Wreck Lagoon, built on the Wreckroot’s own roots. It is the rest stop before the Delve.

  • Getting there: board the Fen Packet with Tobin Gale at Departures in Pailhaven, or /warp mirehollow. The warp unlocks at Diver rank, or once you have found the fen on foot (east of the Wreck Lagoon).
  • Wren’s Exchange sells Delve supplies for Marrowgale BrassMarrowgale BrassBrass, tar and timber from the wreck.Spend it at the Warden Workbench (/log).Jungle currency: Lantern DraughtLantern DraughtMother Gant's lamp-oil for the eyes. For dark water and darker roots. ⭑⭑⭑, Water Breathing, Rootsap and the Gullwing Diving Helm.
  • The Still brews fen recipes, and herb beds around the village regrow for each player (fenwort, lantern moss, rootsap, drowned lily).
  • Old Teague keeps the Raise the Marrowgale board. Haul salvage and the village grows.

A whaling station on the pack ice, run by Hessa Vane. It grew out of the camp beside the frozen Kestrel.

  • Getting there: /warp Rimeback lands you at the camp. You can also board the Northbound with Tobin Gale at Departures.
  • Hessa’s Stores (through Bram Tallow) sell HearthbrewHearthbrewThe Kestrel cook's brew. Keeps the cold out on the floe.Warm all the way down. ⭑⭑⭑ for the Rimeback fight.
  • The town has its own quests, starting with your arrival.

The live map is at maps.bucketry.net. It is the Chart Room: a parchment-style chart of the server, redrawn every 15 minutes.

  • Sheets: the Frontier, the Claiming World, Stormbreak, and the resource Overworld, Nether and End. Switch with the sheet picker.
  • Lands layer: claimed estates show up with their owners.
  • Rumours: places you have to earn show up as an offset rumour circle instead of an exact pin. Boss arenas are left off on purpose.
  • 3D view: the old BlueMap 3D map lives at maps.bucketry.net/3d/.
  • Your ship: type /chart show to appear on the web map as a ship, and /chart hide to disappear again. It is off until you turn it on.

In game, the chart table upstairs in the Harbourmaster’s office on Bucket Quay shows the same chart on the table, with your own pointer.
