Stormbreak raid
Eyepatch Bones and his smugglers hold Stormbreak Cove, a fort, a hoist tower and a wreck on the coast of the sound. Several times a day the Company storms it. The raid comes in three phases and ends with a fight on the deck of Bones’ ship, the Squinting Gull.

| Raid | Time (Chicago) |
|---|---|
| Afternoon | 4:30 PM |
| Evening | 6:30 PM |
| Night | 9:30 PM |
Chat warns you 5 minutes ahead with a clickable [Join /raid]. Type /raid once the raid is called to sail to the cove. Each raid runs up to about 25 minutes.
Missed the schedule? Fire the Signal Cannon (below) and start one yourself.
The three phases
Section titled “The three phases”A boss bar at the top of your screen tracks the current objective.
- The Landing. The crew is ashore. Defeat the number of crew shown on the bar (it scales with how many crates are out). Loot the supply crates as you go.
- The signal fires. Light the three beacons: the Fort Keep Beacon, the Hoist Tower Beacon and the Wreck Beacon. Each takes a 4 second channel and brings a small wave of crew. Each fire lit is worth reputation.
- Eyepatch Bones. With the fires burning, Bones takes the deck of the Squinting Gull. Board her and bring him down.
If the raid stalls, it moves on anyway: the fires open by minute 10 and Bones comes ashore by minute 16 as long as someone is raiding. After Bones falls you get 60 seconds to grab the last chests, then the raid wraps up with an MVP summary.
Fighting Bones
Section titled “Fighting Bones”| Health | 700, plus 350 for each extra fighter (up to 2,800) |
| Range | His flintlock reaches far. Hits on him from more than 24 blocks away do nothing. |
| Water | Jumping in the sea to escape him does not work: he returns to his deck. |
The broadside gun: in phase 3 the fort battery’s cannon fires for free. Right-click it to fire at the Squinting Gull. A hit within 8 blocks of Bones breaks his guard for 10 seconds and he takes 50% more damage. It reloads in 45 seconds.

Drops: Bones’ own loot, raid reputation, treasure map fragments and a 6% chance at the

Getting around the cove
Section titled “Getting around the cove”- Skiffs: moored boats at the landing and around the cove row you across. Stand still for 3 seconds to board. They will not leave while you are in combat, and have a 30 second cooldown.
- The Sea Gate on the Frontier coast also leads into the cove.
- No flying:
/flyis turned off in the cove and does not work there.
The Signal Cannon
Section titled “The Signal Cannon”The Signal Battery stands at Pailhaven Departures, by the lighthouse. Fire it to call the crew ashore and start a full phased raid outside the schedule.
- Get a Powder Charge: craft one (8 gunpowder around 1 paper, it is in your recipe book), buy one for $2,500 from the raid Quartermaster, or earn one from the First Landing quest or treasure stashes.
- Hold the charge and right-click the back of the gun (the touch hole), not the muzzle.
- A server-wide message goes out. The landing party comes ashore after 30 seconds and Bones takes his deck after 90.
Rules: the gun has a 45 minute cooldown, only one cannon raid runs at a time, and it will not fire within 23 minutes of a scheduled raid.
Weekly conditions
Section titled “Weekly conditions”Each Monday the cove changes. /envoy shows this week’s condition.
| Condition | What changes |
|---|---|
| Smugglers’ Night | Fewer crew stand guard, and 1 in 4 chests hides a smuggler’s cut (one prize pays twice). |
| Fog over the Cove | Fog banks roll in. Light the signal fires to burn it off. Map fragments drop twice as often. |
| Storm Season | Lightning hammers the crew’s guard posts every few seconds. 25% more map fragments. |
| Bones’ Grudge | Bones fights 50% tougher. Beat him for +40 bonus reputation and 50% more map fragments. |
Treasure maps
Section titled “Treasure maps”Raids drop map fragments: 6% per crew kill, 10% per chest, a guaranteed one for Bones’ MVP and a 50% chance for everyone else who fought him. Collect 5 and they become a treasure map with a red X. Follow it to the dig site and dig for 3 seconds.
| Stash | Chance |
|---|---|
| $12,000 and 60 Coins | 50% |
| $8,000 and 2 Powder Charges | 30% |
| $20,000 and 100 Coins | 15% |
| Bones’ own hoard: $40,000 and 200 Coins | 5% |
