Auction House

The Auction House is the everyday player market. List something at your price, and anyone on the server can buy it while you are offline. Open it with /ah.

The Auction House menu

It is separate from the Dark Auction (a live bidding event) and from market stalls (your own shop on the harbor).

  1. Hold the stack you want to sell.
  2. Run /ah sell <price>, or just /ah sell to open the listing form. The price is for the whole held stack.
  3. Check the details and confirm.

When something sells, the money waits in /ah proceeds until you collect it. A day before a listing expires unsold, you get a private reminder. Expired and cancelled items go back to you through /ah collect.

New listings and sales are announced in chat with a clickable link, and every couple of hours chat features a listing from the house, so a good item gets seen.

  • /ah opens the browser.
  • /ah search <text> finds listings by name. Enchanted books show their enchants in the name, so searching “Swift Sneak” works.
  • /ah mine shows and manages your own listings. Cancel one with /ah cancel <listing id>.

Can’t find what you need? Post a request and let other players bring it to you.

  • /ah request <item> opens the request form, or type it in one line: /ah request <item> x<quantity> @<price each>.
  • Your money is held in escrow when you post, so sellers know the request is good.
  • /ah wanted shows every open request. Fill one with /ah fill <request id> while holding the item. You are paid straight into your proceeds.
  • /ah requests shows your own requests and your inbox. Cancel with /ah requests cancel <request id> to get the unspent escrow back.

You can request any vanilla item, dozens of Bucketry’s custom items by name, or “something else” with a note. Requests with a note, or for something not on the list, let you approve each delivery before it is paid. If you do not answer within 48 hours, the delivery goes back.

Three harbor regulars also shop the Auction House. Barnacle, Marina and Drift each post a list of weekly wants, and if your listing matches one, they buy it. See what they want with /ah crew.

  • Players get the first look. The crew never touches a listing younger than 6 hours.
  • If your price is at or under their bid, they buy at your price. If you asked more, they send a counter-offer you can take with /ah crew accept or turn down with /ah crew decline. Offers last 48 hours.
  • Their bid drops a little each time they buy the same thing in a day, so flooding one want pays less.
  • The crew spends at most $750,000 per seller each week, and their wants change every Monday.
  • They only buy from sellers with at least 5 hours of playtime (apart from the first-sale offer below).
  • Your first ever listing as a new player (under 3 hours played) gets a friendly offer from Marina within minutes, up to $5,000.

Typical wants and their per-item bids:
