Custom Enchants
On top of vanilla enchanting, Bucketry has 131 custom enchants for every kind of gear: Lifesteal on swords, Double Haul on pickaxes, Grapple on fishing rods, Rimewalker on boots and many more. They come on enchant books with a tier (Common up to Mythic) and a chance to apply.

The full list, grouped by gear, is on Custom Enchant List.

Applying a book
Section titled “Applying a book”Drag the book onto your item in your inventory, or use the Apply Station in /ce for an extra +5%.
Every book shows two numbers:
- Success: the chance it applies. If it fails, the book is used up.
- Destroy: the chance your item shatters when the book fails.
To make applying safer:
- Dust adds +1% success per dust. It has to match the book’s tier. Get it from the Tinkerer (1 to 6 dust per book, by tier), librarians, the Enchantment Forge, crates and quests.
- A White Scroll protects an item from shattering on its next failed book. The scroll breaks instead.
Job mastery bonus
Section titled “Job mastery bonus”Mastering a job (level 500) gives a permanent apply bonus on that job’s gear, for example +10% on pickaxes for a Master Miner or on armor for a Master Blacksmith. Grandmasters (every job mastered) get +10% on everything. Only your single best bonus applies.
Enchant slots
Section titled “Enchant slots”Each item holds 3 custom enchants. A Slot Increaser adds one more slot, up to 2 extra (5 total). Your gear shows CE Slots: used/total in its lore. Vanilla enchants do not use slots.
Scrolls and tools
Section titled “Scrolls and tools”| Item | What it does | How to get it |
|---|---|---|
| White Scroll | Saves your item from its next failed book | Librarians, Ember Forge (400 Embers), Enchanter’s Guild shop |
| Black Scroll | Pulls a random custom enchant off an item onto a book (the new book’s success is 60 to 100%) | Finds only: loot chests, bosses, Runebound elites, librarians |
| Randomization Scroll | Rerolls a book’s success and destroy rates | Finds only |
| Transmog Scroll | Reorders the enchants on a multi-enchant book | Finds only |
| Cleansing Scroll | Removes one vanilla enchant you pick (curses: 35% chance). A failure only uses the scroll | /ce Utilities, $50,000, also findable |
| Transfer Scroll | Moves every enchant (exact levels, custom too) onto a clean item of the same type | /ce Utilities, $100,000 |
| Slot Increaser | +1 custom enchant slot on an item (max +2) | Librarians, Enchanter’s Guild shop |
| Block, Kill and Fish Trackers | Count blocks mined, kills or fish on your gear | /ce Utilities, $25,000 each |
A grindstone removes custom enchants along with vanilla ones.
Embers and the Enchantment Forge
Section titled “Embers and the Enchantment Forge”Kills made while holding gear (anything that doesn’t stack) add Embers to that item: 1 per hostile mob, 5 per player, 25 per vanilla boss, and 40 per Runebound elite. An item holds up to 500. Spend them at the Enchantment Forge in /ce:
| Forge reward | Embers |
|---|---|
| 1 dust of the item’s highest enchant tier | 50 |
| Mystery scroll (random book) | 150 |
| Kill Tracker | 250 |
| White Scroll | 400 |
Ember Gems let you move Embers between items: left-click a gem onto an item to absorb its Embers, right-click to put them back.
Runebound elites
Section titled “Runebound elites”Out in the wild, 0.75% of zombies, husks, drowned, skeletons, strays, bogged, pillagers, vindicators, piglins and wither skeletons spawn as Runebound elites. They have a colored name, 50% more health, enchant particles, and a weapon with a real custom enchant that they use on you. About a third also wear an enchanted chainmail piece.
Kill one and it always drops its weapon (armor 50% of the time), plus 40 Embers and a 5% chance of a scroll. The weekly Runebound Hunt quest pays extra for hunting them.
Regular mobs that spawn with gear also have a small chance (1.5%) to carry a low-level enchanted piece that may drop.
Trench
Section titled “Trench”Trench is the most sought-after mining enchant: a chance to mine a 3x3 face, from 10% at level I to 100% at level IX. It does not come from tables, the Enchanter, scrolls or mob drops. You get it from:
- Miner crates (Trench I to III)
- Weekly block-break tournament top 3 (Trench IV, III, II) and monthly top 3 (VI, V, IV)
- Mastering the Miner job (Trench V)
- Very rarely, level 5 librarians
Two books of the same level combine into the next level at the Alchemist.
